‘The South Asian Digital Media Awards’ being given by ‘The World Association of Newspapers and News Publishers’ (Wan-Ifra) presented to Sakal, ‘Agrowon’ and Sarkarnama on Sep 27, 2018 at Hydrabad. ‘Agrowon’s mobile application and’ Sarkarnama’s website got the award for’ Best Digital News Startup ‘; And in the new streams of digital media, Sakal Media Group has been leading in South Asia for a second consecutive year.

The award was given by Wan-Ifra Chief Executive Officer Vincent Peyrègne and Deputy Chief Executive Officer Manfred Werfel at the ‘Wan-Ifra Conference’ organized at Hyderabad. Director of ‘Sakal Media Group’ – Bhausaheb Patil, Editor-in-Chief Shri Ram Pawar, and Chief Editor of Pune Version- Sambhaji Patil, Chief Artist- Suhas Kadre, Balasaheb Mujumlay, Jayesh Gaikwad and Neelam Kamte received the award.
