The Concept:
The Delivering Change Foundation (DCF) and Agrowon initiated the ‘Delivering Smart Villages’ initiative with the aim of giving a new direction to the rural economy by implementing a model with support from strategic partners from Israel. This project enables farmers to become self–reliant via the utilization of customized, cutting-edge processes and technological know-how to achieve a paradigm of sustainable agricultural development, thereby the socio-economic transformation of Villages across the value delivery chain.
The Project:
With a number of uncertainties and risks prevailing in agriculture businesses, a huge number of farmers are leaving their farmlands and migrating to cities. Agriculture is no more an attractive source of earning as there is no guarantee of income. Hence, to bring a positive change in this situation, the Delivering Change Foundation (DCF) and Agrowon have initiated the ‘Delivering Smart Villages’. Villages selected under this project will be able to transform the rural landscape and give a new direction to them. It will have the ability to encompass both economical as well as social activities. With expert guidance from the Israeli firm, JETHRO, the income of farmers from the agricultural yield will increase manifold. Basic facilities like roads, power, health and education will become a reality via the Delivering Smart Villages project.

- The ‘Delivering Smart Villages’ project aims at introducing innovative agricultural techniques with the help of experts from Israel
- The project focuses on utilizing modern technologies in the agricultural sector
- Under the guidance of experts from Israel, new scientific and technological inputs will enhance the agricultural produce and will increase the income many times over
- To make the Delivering Smart Villages project a success, the development of each village is envisaged through facilities like roads, power, drinking water, health, education, etc. with support from the Government
