Agrowon honoured with Flame Awards Asia 2017 for Sarpanch Mahaparishad Initiative

Pune: Sakal-Agrowon has been honoured with the ‘Flame Awards Asia 2017’ for its successful support to the rural development movement through the Sarpanch Mahaparishad (the convention of village heads) in the State. The awards have been instituted by the Rural Marketing Association of India (RMAI). The RMAI recognized the Sarpanch Mahaparishad in the silver group as the best social development campaign under the integrated and social development programme for this year.

Agrowon GM Pramod Raje Bhosale accepted the award from Maruti Suzuki GM Sales (Commercial Vehicles and Rural Marketing) P Chadha and Maruti Suzuki DGM (Rural Marketing) Rikki Kalra in New Delhi at a glittering ceremony. International consultant firm E&Y oversaw the process of the Flame Awards Asia 2017. Among the other recipients of the awards are country’s leading companies, including Coromandel International Ltd and Mahindra & Mahindra. The RMAI started the awards in 2006 to encourage programmes related to rural marketing in the country. These are top prestigious awards honouring programmes for rural marketing and public relations. The RMAI was established in 2005 in New Delhi. Over 70 big and small renowned firms are the members of the organisation.
